The Hi/Low power switch changes output power to 1 watt, resulting in significantly longer battery life. Power is provided by 9 (optional) AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries - or your vehicle’s 12V DC electrical system via the detachable power cord with its lighter plug. There are also jacks for an antenna, speaker/microphone, and battery charging.
